Sept.25 Cincinnati Fights

Posted by mikayla under Uncategorized

“Iron” Dan Crabtree and Amateur phenom Miles Delmindo competed this weekend in Cincinnati ,Ohio at Northside Boxing Club in Mt. Healthy . “Iron” Dan lost a highly controversial decision to a game and ready Cincy fighter Ayers in his first ever amateur boxing match since converting from MMA to the Sweet Science. Dan showed great skill and promise and displayed exactly why he’s a sponsored fighter under the Sweet Science banner. In just his 3rd fight, Young Miles Delmindo opted to fight a significantly more experienced boxer than the one he was slated to face. Clark of Cincinnati having 30 fights in the books recieved all he could handle from Delmindo from the opening bell. Both young men displayed incredible skill and fortitude with Clark pulling ahead for the win in the last minute of the bout. Congratulations to Clark , he earned the victory and we wish him the best and hope to see him in the future. We are very proud of both of our boxers and look forward to the upcoming boxing event in Zanesville November 6th.

The Sweet Science Boxing team performed well at The Ohio State Fair . Jesse Dombroski  , won the 10 year old (bantam-101 lbs) division unopposed. Jackson Klein , 12 year old (intermediate-110 lbs) division lost to a very controversial decision to a fighter from Thompson Rec Center. Jerry Page, 1984 Olympic gold medalist was ring side at the bout and exclaimed,”Robbery!” and demanded to see the scorecards from the judges. Nonetheless, we are proud of young Jackson and expect big things from him in the near future. Nico Buoni , 12 year old (intermediate-108 lbs) division in only his second fight was stopped in a tough battle in the Championship bout , despite facing an opponent with a considerable amount of experience (35 fights to Nico’s 1 ) Nico showed his heart and  put forth maximum effort in his training and his fight , we are very proud of him.
