February 2-4,2012, Derrell ” Young Gunner” Gibbs and Brandon “Ace” Vega will be representing Sweet Science in the National Silver Gloves tournament in Independence, Missouri. The annual tournament is hosted by the best in Boxing, Ringside. Gibbs will be competing in the 15 years old(Senior), 156lb division while his teammate Vega is slated in the 13 year old (Junior), 112lb division. On January 21st,2012, in Trenton, New Jersey at the Hamilton Manor, Nedals Boxing Promotions brings you an exciting 7-bout card featuring our Founder, Russ Niggemyer whose slated against local fighter, Alando Swain (3-1) in a 6-round, middleweight bout. Results posted soon.

January 13th, 2012, in Elizabeth, Indiana at the Horseshoe Casino, central Ohio’s favorite fighter “Iron” Dan Crabtree (2(2KO)-3) is slated to face Aaron Lucky (0-2(2KO)) in a 4-round welterweight bout. Main event will a long-awaited rematch of rivals Eric “Butterbean” Esch and the promoter of the event, Curt Allan. Tickets are on sale.

January 6-8, 2012 , The National Silver Gloves Boxing tournament is an advancing qualifier for amateur boxers from age 8 – 15 years that will have its state level in Cleveland, Ohio. Jr. Team Sweet Science boxers competing are Derrell ” Young Gunner ” Gibbs and J’juan ” Don Juan ” Hamilton! Gibbs will be entering in the 156 lb division for 15 years olds while Hamilton will be in 139lb division for 15 years olds. Stay posted for results from states , regionals ,and Nationals!

BLING! BLING! BANG! Amateur boxing event at Hilliard Darby Highschool. 12 exciting bouts featuring some of the hottest prospects in the tri-state area like Sweet Science’s Derrell “Young Gunner” Gibbs J’juan “Don Juan” Hamilton, Deacon Sawchuk, and Zanesville PALs Travis “Roadrunner” Jerig. Several boxing celebrities and dignitaries will be on hand. Hilliard Darby’s own “Iron” Dan Crabtree will have an open workout during intermission immediatley followed by an “Iron” Dan meets his fans session,with pictures,autographs,and T-shirts available for purchase! All proceeds benefit the Hilliard Amateur boxing program and KillingIsWack.org , their mission is to promote non-violence among children and young adults and to serve as a catalyst for social change by instilling various forms of education. Saturday November 12th, in Toronto, OH at Kelly’s Old School, Sweet Science’s Dominique Foster is scheduled to face TBA in a 3 round open bout. Also scheduled to box is Mikayla Nebel who is slated to face Shanice Lathem from PA. The card is being promoted by Chuck Nelson of Youngstown.

Saturday November 5th, in Zanesville, Ohio – The Zanesville PAL will be hosting their annual Fall Brawl. 15 exciting bouts are scheduled that you won’t want to miss. Representing Team Sweet Science is Daimyo Foster in a 3 round bout vs T. J. Haley, Coshocton, Ohio.

November 10th, in Logan, West Virigina, “Iron” Dan Crabtree is slated to face Zach Kuhn of Madison, West Virginia in a 4-round, 147lbs, Welterweight bout. The fight will be held at the SaddleRidge Club, check back for more updates.

October 1st – 8th , 2011, The 37th Annual National Police Athletic League tournament will be held this year in Toledo , Ohio.
